Bot

Hi Lam-ang, may I ask if, it is good to a user to have a bot (own bot)? How to create a bot? Because I noticed that bot is a big help to make article good or to control vandalism etc. ShiminUfesoj (tungtungan) 14:24, 30 Mayo 2018 (UTC)

Yes bots are very useful for maintaining a wiki especially repetitive and mundane tasks, but they could also wreck havoc if you don't know what you are doing. Yes they could also be used to fight vandalism if you know how to write the scripts. Here are some useful links from enwiki and meta that could provide you some insight on how bots work on Wikipedias:

• Bot policy (meta) - this applies to bclwiki because there is no local bot policy

I would suggest to use your personal account first and get familiarized and start editing with some of the semi-automated editors like AutoWikiBrowser, Javascript Wiki Browser, AutoEd, autoFormatter, and WPCleaner.
